The highlight was a sail on a 72 foot schooner, John has sailed his entire life, this was my first (and yes, I DID try to get out of it, thought it would be great if John's best friend, Alan, who came up with wife Sandy from Orlando to surprise John, would join John for the sail!! He made ME go!! (I loved it, now that it is a done deal, was not scary at all)
Some of the amazing architecture that is carried out the city wide!
Our Bed and Breakfast, 44 Spanish Street, located in the middle of the Historic District!
Alan, Sandy and John at Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth. YES, we did drink a little cup of that water, maybe we should have had more?? A LOT more???
This is also the historical site of the first landing in 1513~ thus cannons, ships, cauldrons etc.
I really want to take the grandchildren to visit this historical marvel. All Florida 4th graders are taken there for a field trip as that is the year they study Florida History!
(Wish Georgia had done that)
Ever see a hand tame peacock?
Last but not least, John's form of Birthday Cake!!
