~FIVE FAT FRIENDS~
So the Excellent news is that John and I are two of the Five Fat Friends!
(I was top looser on the team, Papa John was second, third was Keith Porter, RN, of Archbold's OutPatient Surgery, fourth, Melissa Porter, Wound care and Hyperbaric Medicine Physician Assistant, and Devon George, daughter of our business manager)
Here is the YMCA link if you can't read the newsclipping~
The SCARY news is that we come to Utah the week before the final weigh in, and no less, observe the International Dutch Oven Cook-Off!
So the question is~~~can we stay true to our team?
Stay Tuned for next weeks results!

The Cats In The Hats~Or Something Like That
Look at Braydon, how CUTE!! (Grandma's can say that and its OK)
I am not sure what the event was, but maybe I can get them to tell me soon.
And Tyson is just adorable!! (again, Grandma's can say that and get away with it)
Is he thinking of Green Eggs and Ham~~~
Or the first I ever saw (when their Daddy was a little lad)

~The Sooners Lost~
Sorry Papa John, the Gators beat the Sooners! It was a GREAT game though, a nail biter, and a chance for those who have never seen him, meet Tebow in action. What a great young man, a good athlete and best of all a team player and motivator!
We had a great time representing the Sooners in Gator Country~

Birthday in St Augustine
The highlight was a sail on a 72 foot schooner, John has sailed his entire life, this was my first (and yes, I DID try to get out of it, thought it would be great if John's best friend, Alan, who came up with wife Sandy from Orlando to surprise John, would join John for the sail!! He made ME go!! (I loved it, now that it is a done deal, was not scary at all)
Some of the amazing architecture that is carried out the city wide!
Our Bed and Breakfast, 44 Spanish Street, located in the middle of the Historic District!
Alan, Sandy and John at Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth. YES, we did drink a little cup of that water, maybe we should have had more?? A LOT more???
This is also the historical site of the first landing in 1513~ thus cannons, ships, cauldrons etc.
I really want to take the grandchildren to visit this historical marvel. All Florida 4th graders are taken there for a field trip as that is the year they study Florida History!
(Wish Georgia had done that)
Ever see a hand tame peacock?
Last but not least, John's form of Birthday Cake!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Surely no one that knows me thinks I would NOT post this newsy item on the blog!! It is the front page of the Miller County Liberal (a weekly paper from the small town that claimed the majority of my career as Director of Respiratory Care for the local hospital, where I was a famous actress in *Swamp Gravy*, folklife play at the renowned Cotton Hall, and my feet are in concrete on the courthouse square)
Ok, I really did have some little parts in Swamp Gravy, recalled the lines most of the time, LOL
I also knew full well that all of the babies shown above are front page stories, just didn't know it would happen because I renewed my subscription to a beloved paper!
Who'd A Thunk?
I scanned the original, click on it to read (unless your eyes are a lot better than mine)
