Daddy's Memorial Dinner

Our Beloved Honey, Charles L. Blow Sr, 60 year husband of Thelma, Daddy of Charles Jr and Brenda, Honey to Ranes, Blace and Michelle, and great-grands Sky, Lacey, Braydon, Christopher, Tyson, Kayleigh and Carter.
He would also claim Judy, John, Heather, Donnie, Addison, Jen, Marty and a multitude of family friends and golfers, not necessarily in that order, including Jack!!
Note the toothpick!

This is the Thomasville Railroad Depot, Atlantic Coast Line in our day, now Seaboard Coast Line. This picture was taken before it was converted into a fabulous restaurant with the covering for the outside tables (where we were, as CLOSE to the track as possible, just as we wanted it)

As usual, pictures get reversed, this was the end of the evening~
We did have some showers during the meal, we were outside under the cover of the depot, got a little damp but still perfect~~ and as we finally got up to leave, there was the most incredibly beautiful rainbow... no doubt sent special by our Honey.

Blace got to come with us, had a great time when the actual train came along~~much to our delight~~ TOOT  TOOT~~  We all waved and really enjoyed the whistles, clangs, bells and all the sights, sounds and smells of a train going by. We felt like it happened just for us!  Of course the conductor waved at us as if he knew what a special evening we were having~

The centerpiece was an ornate lantern with a candle. Look carefully and you will see the stimudent (orange) toothpick that was Honey's trademark. To this day, 6 years after he is gone, we still find these orange toothpicks all over!

It was great to get Mama to agree to go with us, and truthis, we had a wonderful time, no sadness, no tears, lots of good food, fun, and loved ones to share with.
We enjoyed it SO much, I think we will go here regularly!

To bring the story together~
Today was the 6th anniversary of our husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather's death.  As he would want us to eat, drink and be merry, we DID!!  We elected to go to the train depot where he worked for his lifetime, now restored as a historic relic and home of an elegant Ristorante'~ Mirabellas~ Italiana~ YUM!!!
It was a PERFECT evening, we knew he would have at least approved if he was not in fact orchestrating, especially the flowers, the drizzling rain and the rainbow!

THE WHISTLE HAS BLOWN, AND HONEY HAS GONE HOME
(where he waits for us)

The *P* Family~

So..I got these pics from the photographers website.
After looing at pages and pages of her work, I am in awe... but these 3 are up close and personal to us, as it is Addison, Marty, Jen and Carter!
This one should have a title... something special about Mothers! Look at Jen cooling it!

Look at the reflection of the feet in the water!
Addison would like to go for a swim!

The pictures tell a story, a very beautiful story~

Thanks Jen and Rachel

Happy Mother's Day

~MY MOTHER, MY BROTHER, AND ME~
How Sweet it is!!!

Mama only gets one Mother's day a year, so it was really great to be able to have both of her children with her. I think she actually had a several day, extended celebration, awesome!

This is Windy, my only sibling. He is the good looking, smart child!  He also got all of the family *tall* and *slim*, besides being so handsome.... that pretty much leaves me short, fat, ugly and stupid, right? LOLOL~
Windy lives in North Carolina with wife Judy and son Christopher (who is in the third grade, reading at 8th grade level, can you believe??)

Windy and George, a childhood pal, now owner of *George and Louies* , the Greek Restraunt that is known for its excellent seafood and greek salad (where we just had Mother's Day Dinner)
Way back in the blog, February 16th, you will se a picture of Windy Young Windy and George, under 10!!!
