SOONERS VS GATERS

Yep, this IS Santa, but the clothes depict two hardcore Sooners!  (I had to be persuaded) As stated earlier in the blog, John, his parents and his grandparents were all
Oklahoma University Sooners, as well as most of his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Siblings.
SO... This year the sooners have done great, but so have the Florida Gators!
Because of their stats, the two teams will play for National Championship January 8th.
Papa John will be *60* on January 5th, thus the Birthday background.... and he really wants the Sooners to take this upcoming title!
(Let me add the hardship, we live among many million Gator fans, I think we are the ONLY local Sooners and we get fuuny looks, especially when we were in Florida last week)

Beautiful Build-a-Bear

Braydon, Tyson, and Kayleigh with sneaky smiles as they have just built 3 very precious gifts, and they KEPT the secret until.......

CHRISTMAS happened!!!
Papa John, Mamoo, and Georgia Grandma were SO thrilled
to have their very own Bears for Christmas!!
Braydon built Papa John's, is a fisherman complete with rod and reel!!!
Tyson built Georgia Grandma's spot eyed puppy
and dressed her with a really cool hooded robe with a *B* on it!!!
Then Kayleigh built Mamoo's bear who is all decked out as a RED HAT LADY!!
Now how cool is this?
THANK YOU BRAYDON, TYSON, AND KAYLEIGH,
we felt every kiss, wish, and hug you put in our special gifts!!

Bonnie Blue

Today was first haricut day!! Bonnie actually allowed the groomers to work on her! I have no idea what is in her mouth besides her tongue, it will be interesting for sure.
I always wonder WHAT she sees when she is *carpet inspecting* like this, is it animal, mineral, or vegetable????
"WHAT??? You want ME to sit still for a picture?? Surely you jest!"
"Ok, it you MUST see, my people Papa got me this PINK collar so I will look more like a girl, he knows I am a ruff and tumble rowdy tomboy. I bit him over and over to prove that point, but he still made me wear this pink thing, then attaches another long pink thing with little sparkles on it....girlie stuff"

Club Penguin

My Grandsons LOVE Club Penguin, they even taught me how to go in and look around, I counted a tons of beans, got slung around in a mine cart, flopped through the water and flew through the air looking for gas to STAY in the air.  They are right, FUN!!!

Braydon with a snowball maker!! (who thought of that)

Meanwhile, Little Miss Kayleigh makes a snow angel!

So here we sit in 80 degree Christmas weather, LOVING all of these snow pictures.
Can you save some until March?

Costa Rica and Christmas

The Meachams, rafting the Rio Bulsa in Costa Rica!
Cathy and Marc in the rear, Jonathan and Sarah in front.
Marc is Papa John's brother, they live in upstate New York.
For Christmas, they are going to the Eco-Camp on the Beach in St John, (Virgin Islands)
as Marc's hospital has given him time off for the first time in MANY years.
How cool is That?

(from experience, I can tell you, Hospitals are BUSY over holidays)

Paris 1998 and 2008

~The 2008 version~
Now how is this for modern technology!
Jamie added us to the 1998 original shown below
(Do check out my hat, I still have it!!)
THANKS JAMIE!

Yes, it has been 10 years, but this is still my favorite picture of Paris.
I was traveling with a great friend, Jamie, and both of us stood at the base of the Eiffel Tower, in awe, and no clue or foresight as to a picture that would be a lifetime treasure.
Before I could become concerned, we bought some *Chesnuts Roasted On An Open Fire*
This was New Year's Eve and we had spent a rainy, cold day waiting to get in the Lourve.

(You see it now as I just found it among my Christmas Decorations, LOL)

Chester and Santa

What a great time to introduce CHESTER as she (yep, she) sits on Santa!
(disguised as Papa John).

Mamoo calls her household *Two Birds and An Old Bat*,
Chester and Moriah keep her active to say the least!

Moriah

Posted by PicasaMoriah is Mamoo's African Grey
and a REAL hoot, ask Heather, who has been chased a few times by this ball of feathers. (We are trying to get her to Love the South, Moriah does not help our quest)
We were scanning this *lost but found* picture,
have to add her here with the rest of the family!
Look for Chester soon!

Winter Sun~

Is this just too cute?
I heard that snow falls on Utah as I speak. Have some winter sunshine!
(Thanks Jen)
I stood outside Walmart this afternoon as the official Salvation Army Bell Ringer.
I had to wear sunglasses, got a red nose, used AC all the way home!

SNOW IN UTAH!

I guess you have to be in the Deep South to LOVE this!

Here we sit in our warm den, doors open, short sleeves, and the season is Fall at night and Summer in the Day!

It is strange to put up Christmas decorations, wrap gifts, visit Nativity scenes where the Wise Men are sweating under the robes!

So from our seat we get to enjoy snow with the sun setting over the mountains!
Bottom line, we are Blessed to see BOTH views, the Sun and the Snow!

Tyson's first stiches~

Tyson has some Medical Experience now,
is a good thing he has this cool Doctor garb to pratice in!

I guess it is a rite of passage~ Boy gets pocket knife, boy has accicent, boy ends up in ER

The most amazing part of Tyson's ordeal is that he got himself a pen and paper, went to his room and carefully documented exactly what happend to him from the beginning ot the end! He wanted it documented!! Maybe he will lean toward journalism, or better yet, help his family out with the geneological history! I LOVED his written production~ as well as his own initiative to get it done and in a timely manner before he forgot what happened!

I think he is healing well, such a sweet and sensitive boy!
We love you Tyson!
