BUDDY MADE IT!

Guess we need a new sign to add Bonnie!
Left to Right~ BonnieBlue, Gromit (yes, his ears are 100% natural), CissyBelle, GabbyGale and in the rear our Tornado Tested Trooper, BUDDY. Buddy was in his yard when it was hit by an F4 tornado last week, he was located about a mile away in the same direction the winds went. We don't know what he went through but it seems like a Wizard of Oz story!!! His owners (The Tom Meachams) brought him to us while they are putting their home back together.

Chocolate Moose

Moose is the young Chocolate Lab shown above, actually an oil painting I attempted in 1997, the year I met Moose in East Grinstead, England. He was a gentle soul that convinced me I should be sharing mince meat pies, chesnut sausage balls and other Christmas treats with him!

This is Moose as he aged, getting a bit of grey hair but still a beloved pet!
I just got news today from our family friend Jamie, that his pet, Moose,
has gone to Rainbow Bridge to wait for him.
HE WILL BE MISSED!!!!

Puppy Day

Gromit has a bone in his back pocket on the back of his shorts. I think he would pass up the bone just to get the shorts off! For now, a drink of water from his favorite watering hole will do.

Gabby too is ready to come out of these restricting clothes and be a dog again! She headed straight for her favorite spot, the top step of the pool, got all four of her freshly manicured feet soaking wet and as comforatble as house shoes.

Now that I enter this, I realize that all four puppies have come from the groomer hungry, thirsty, happy to be home and bewildered that they have *clothes* on, how did that happen? Cissy too is having a long drink from her favorite water bowl.
(yep. plenty of water in their indoor bowl, this is what they like best)

Last AND least (in size only) is little Bonnie who just needs a nap.
We took all of the clothes off after I chased them around for pictures,
and all 4 took a HUGE much needed snooze~

~HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER~

His name is Charles, but I know and love him as *Windy*.
Here he is with his wife, my favorite sister-in-law, Judy, and their son Christopher.

How about a picture of one of his past Birthday Parties?
My best guess is that he was about 10 at this party
that featured hotdogs cooked over an open fire with a wire coat hanger,
Coca Cola in the bottle, a tent to play in and if you didn't have a real BB gun, a stick would work!
Windy is in the center back, coke turned up for guzzeling!
Once the coke bottle was empty, we played a game looking at the bottom to see who had the coke bottle manufactured the furtherest away, although we had a Coca Cola bottleing plant right here in Thomasville.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BROTHER
AND WE WISH YOU MANY MORE!!

~Valentine Story~

In 1943, Charles and Thelma Blow established what would be a 60 year marriage,
complete with 2 children, 3 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren!
Once, as recalled by Thelma, they were on a camping trip, Charles found a heart shaped leaf and placed it on the windshield for Thelma to see when she got in the camper.

Just this week, this Valentine's week, Thelma stepped out her front door in the wee hours (to get the paper) and saw one solitary heart shaped glimmering leaf at the tip end of a tree right at the front door, a gift from Charles who now lives with his Heavenly Father.
Since the first morning, the heart is still there in plain view, but even more beautiful in the dark.
What a SPECIAL VALENTINE GIFT!!!
