2009 Heritage Walk

This particular grouping is Archbold's participants. (my employer)
John and I were inside getting ater, using BR, working up courage,
not to leave out staying warm!!!  Our PA, Mellisa (in the lime green in front) is being honest about the current weather that moment, kinda chilly.. then we started the walk,
the cold disappeared fast!
The Heritage WAlk is another Fund Raiser and a chance to participate in a walk competition.
Our personal goal is to simply finish the race!!
We completed the walk, amost last, but not last!
That title was held for the 84 year old woman who would have beat us except she had to sit in the ambulance for a bit as the EMT's made her put bandaids on scratches received in a very minor fall. She was MADDDD~~ said she never came in last in ANYTHING!  I reminded her (as I walked her back to the starting point and got her a seat and some orange juice) that she was FIRST in her class (age 80 and over).  She reminded ME that she was the ONLY ONE in her age group!! She was hilarious, a duplicate Maxine icon!!

Love at first sight?

This is by far one of my most favorite pictures. Just look at the expression on his face, that is priceless.

Daddy's Shoes

Kayleigh in Daddy's Shoes!
I recall dancing on my daddy's shoes~ I just put my feet on his big shoes and I could dance as good as he could! Then putting them on and walking (dragging your entire leg) around was almost as fun.
I'm glad my son knows how important daddies are, I truly believe a large portion of our nation's problems would be solved if every child had the daddy they need and deserve, and of course a good mommy!  Braydon, Tyson and Kayleigh are so blessed to have BOTH!!!

Braydon having FUN!

Tyson also having FUN!

Our Canine Children

My goal was to share the latest groomer goodies, but I managed to get personaliy pictures (a VERY difficult task, especially Gabby who runs at the sight of a camera)
Somewhere in there are beautiful little silver necklaces that came with their last grooming. The girls have little sunshines that glitter all silvery and shiney. I know they love them, or at least I do, necklaces and dogs both!!!
The top picture (Bonnie again) does show the necklace!

Flat Stanley came to Georgia!

At Church with Sky and Great-Grandmother Thelma

Stanley enjoyed the now blooming Azaleas, Camellias, Dogwood, Redbud and Japanese Magnolia!

How about a climb in our huge old Magnolia?

Last weekend we received a letter from Meadow Elementary in Lehi Utah. We opened it up and out popped flat Stanley, here for a visit!  We had a great time, visited a lot of historical places about town, and breathed all of the yellow pollen that is covering everything. I hope he doesn't have allergies, didn't seem to have any problems at all except that I wanted to KEEP HIM (Tyson colored him, had his name on the back and I could just imagine him on my refrigerator!)
Anyway, I did a scrapbook of all of the activities and sent Stanley back to Utah as instructed.
THANKS for thinking of us Tyson, we loved the visit!!
