Christmas Eve
Sky came to celebrate Christmas with us this evening!
We gathered at Mamoo's, baked a ham, made some delicious pasta salad, southern potato salad, green beans, cornbread and topped the full plate with sweet potato strips...YUM
That appendage that appears to be a GUITAR is a gift from Sky's male friend, not a boyfriend since she is not old enough, but a male friend that attends her church, GAGE!
Blace is helping her get started after we made a run to town to get a book, some frets and a case to carry this bundle of entertainment in (the guitar, not Sky, although she fits the description too)
Blace is looking happy as well, she has an evening outing planned with her male friend, they are going to a Christmas Eve gathering at Church (yes).
He will join us tomorrow at the family gathering we well.
We had a great afternoon, watched *The Miracle on 34th Street* in black and white, and followed our full day with some home made gingerbread and cream that Mamoo made for us.
That morning, Mamoo and I packed about 50 Christmas bags to give out, full of fruit, nuts, candy and the M and M poem about the meaning of Christmas.
Fell asleep smiling, what a good day!

Victorian Christmas Part 3

Too many to possibly capture but great fun to see! They seemed to enjoy it too! Any of our five would NOT be willing to play~
Aside from spiced cider, hot chocolate, all sorts of christmas candy, unique meals from every walk of life available... funnel cakes, roasted nuts, fried oreos, specialty meats, sweet grass dairy fed cheeses, I loved the fresh lemonade best! (lets not mention the Divinity)
...and three crusty soldiers ready for battle!
WHAT A WONDERFUL EVENT!!! Many were dressed for the evening in Victorian Costume, too many different performances all over town to mention, carriage rides, train rides, just an awesome little event for this town! We were in Southern Living one year!!
John and I went with the Warren's from Oregon... love to see them partake of Southern Fun. We ran into a group of 10 senior missionaries who had come up from Tallahassee with the Mission President who we have not seen since our August interview!
Off to prepare for our Church Christmas Party tonight. I am decorating a table!
Victorian Christmas part 2
Some reference was made to his monkey... rescued him from somewhere... brought him home and fed him so well he was stuffed and stayed that way since!
The most beautiful part of the evening! One of the Churches had a complete nativity show, complete with donkeys and sheep, provided seats, music, readings and a cup of hot cider!

Boy Scouts were roasting chestnuts on an open fire (really), and marshmellows on a fire behind this group. The public was treated to both and the scouts were having a great time!
