The Dekle Ancestors
Civil War Veteran Ancestor's grave site, cross added this year with ceremony
Relatives galore, some I am not real familiar with, but they have been attending the Dekle-Adams reunion at the Big Ochlocknee Church since I was a little girl. (ok, more than 60 years)
Back then, we would eat dinner on the ground (that meant a huge feast on big tables outside, sit around in lawn chairs and on blankets. In the afternoon, we would go inside the church and sing for hours! Folks would take turns at the piano, different ones singing specials, I recall my grandparents, Bright and Rena Dekle the most, they sang together so well!!
